cybre.space end-of-life plan

the mastodon instance at cybre.space has reached end-of-life.

• on 1 january 2023, the instance went read-only. this means that everyone with a cybre.space account can still log in, export their account data, forward their account to another instance, or delete their account, but no new posts may be made and no new follow connections may be established.
• the instance will remain online and read only for at least 1 year. this is to give users who log in infrequently time to migrate off of the instance and export their data.
• (provisionally) on 1 january 2024, the instance will be taken down. a copy of the database will be backed up in secure storage and individual data export can be done on request for anyone who missed the window, but response may be delayed.
