@r14c Sandstorm Oasis is utterly limited. Five grains for free is as useful as five real sand grains.

Set up Sandstorm on a spare server that's publicly facing the Internet. sandstorm.io/install

(Of course, you can just use a machine that must be running continually and use Sandcats to estabilish the public facing to the Internet: docs.sandstorm.io/en/latest/ad)

@r14c Sandstorm is uninstallable. No one can ever use it.

Rule 1 of web development: if it requires setting up email, then it is broken beyond repair.

I'd suggest moving back to GitLab.

@r14c Seriously, I have an unfixable headache just from setting up Postfix.

so, every self-hosted thing ever. sounds patently untrue to me.

point the SMTP at mailgun or something

docs.sandstorm.io/en/latest/ad

they even note that in the docs

> move back to gitlab

i moved to wekan because the gitlab issues tools don't have a project level scope for a scrum/kanban board. i can always self-host wekan if sandstorm becomes a limitation.

I don't have a credit card to use for the case I send 10000 emails per month. It's a lot cheaper to spin up an email server, but it is a lot *easier* to not use email. However, I don't know how to use LDAP. :/
