@haskal if like a mall (remember malls?) WiFi demands to sign you up for spam email to sign in, just make up some email nobody is going to use on some site that probably runs a email server and you're probably good. I tried "example@example.com" one one and was rejected, but "deliciouscherries@mattress.com" or whatever worked fine

If you happen to have some personal vpn set up and it looks blocked, just try different ports over udp
