I work downtown & I take public transit a lot so I run across a lot of people who want to interact more than I do, even if it's not always sexual.
I was raised to be very polite and small talk is a big thing here "Minnesota Nice" so I hate feeling rude for totally ignoring folks who talk to me (& I've been called a bitch for doing so) but then when the conversation turns from the weather/my dog/inquiries about directions to hitting in me I want (safely) out.

One of the reasons I've wanted a giant dog since my early 20s is because it makes me less of a target for physical attacks when I'm walking by myself, even if the dog is actually gentle.

@stelepami Yeah 😔 I wish you safety and comfort, like everyone deserves. It’s up to all of us (mostly men) to ensure the lot of us realizes that’s totally uncool.
