Honestly, more resource-heavy programs need a “batch/swap” mode so you can run what would be real time elements as prompted functions instead. But bloat and compulsory expansion are banes of even basic Windows utilities (It takes my PC 5 seconds to open calculator, because its metro when wordpad is instant!)
