In my haste, I missed words ๐
Corrected:
Few dreamed betrayal, seawater rust, gay town shine - heal me, eh?
one day not too many years from now an old man with wild hair and a faraway look in his eyes will stand atop a mountain and howl.
the folk living in the area will look out their windows and some of the youngest will ask, "what the heck is that?"
"that," they'll be told, "is just sundog logging into the network."
@tiphaine C'est une lesbienne, une meuf trans et une fรฉministe qui sont assises au comptoir d'un bar.
Un mec cis entre dans le bar. Il dit "Pourquoi je suis pas dans cette blague, moi aussi ?"
Despite whatever you might think about folks who work on tech spilling forth an utterance of curses - know that it is an essential verbal component to data witchery. Often used along with the somatic components, (๐ is one you may be familiar with), the words weave a fine spell, in hopes it may be used to coax the device or process in question into obedience, or face banishment to oblivion.
Do I happen to have any followers who know the word 'mganga' off the top of their head and willing to chat a bit about it? I _think_ it is Swahili, but am not 100%. I also think it refers to a doctor/holy person? I'm trying to understand a bit about the cultural significance of the word to help a project find/create and image to go with it while avoiding accidentally enacting racism. It's stuck with the word, but the right or wrong picture could be important. Boosts OK.
This mashup between Kool and the Gang & Quiet Riot has been in my head for two days, ever since @zigg shared it with me
