@vi whoa! As someone who’s not inclined to feel much sympathy towards ICANN, any reason I should care about the fate of WHOIS (other than possibly celebrating its demise)?

whois should never have published that information to the frigging WORLD. should have hidden it 20 years ago.

@vi @thor The GDPR was passed into law two years ago and this problem should have been obvious two years before that. Sounds like ICANN had been sitting on their hands hoping that being international would save them from domestic law. Shame, I use whois to help spot scam domains.

@vi Have they given up on the climate-change denial, then?
