Vanta is a pinay, this seems perfectly normal to be fair (I have Malaysian and Fillipino ancestry myself and this is the sort of thing my family would cook although they might slice up the banana first..) I would try it myself but there was a shortage of bananas last time I was in the supermarket...

@vantablack grilled banana is the best thing in the world :o you can use oil or butter too, and add a teaspoon of rhum, it's delicious
