i only tend to experience depression in short bursts, but man it's kicking my ass lately. i woke up with feelings of paranoia yesterday, and when i tried to discuss my fears with my mom, she just wouldn't take me seriously. it really ramped up my self-doubt, which is usually pretty manageable

living with my family is bad for my mental health. just being around them is really draining. i'm trying to become independent, but it's really hard when you have hardly any fucking energy

...all this negativity COULD be coming from the fact that i recently returned from a family trip that was really stressful and exhausting. i had to be constantly vigilant and cheerful while the rest of my family kept getting into squabbles, and it might be taking its toll on me now

we got back a few days ago, but i still feel super tired and haven't entirely unpacked yet. all that stress could have pulled me into an emotional low period, for sure

god sometimes i just get SO sick of people. i love the idea of people, but there are just...so many bad ones

i'm an extrovert too, so it doubly hurts. i need to be around people, but shitty behavior exhausts me. everything is so complicated and intertwined together that it's difficult to think of a way i can noticeably change things on any sort of scale

i just...want people to be better. i don't want to end up bitter and isolated due to burnout from lifelong bad experiences

god i am SO exhausted by pride month this year. it's just squabbling and discourse and it honestly hurts my soul to view

there are legitimate problems we could be discussing in a constructive way, but it just seems like everybody would rather try to assert themselves as the smartest person in the room than admit that they don't have ultimate knowledge of every topic. we need to be LISTENING to each other about our experiences instead of arguing about who's valid
