I think that's an unappreciated factor with megacorps.

Impersonal might be bland, but it can also mean that a lot of really crappy stuff has been bleached out by policy and, most reliably, by indifference.

Small story time: When I signed the kid up for a Minecraft account a couple of years ago or so, the process was convoluted, but obviously designed to be absolutely sure a parent or guardian was involved and signing-off on the process. Tedious stuff, but appropriate to do.

I've seen other FANG+ companies do a whole lot worse, frustratingly so.
