It's not exactly what I wanted, but the "good enough" laptop I'll settle on is the ASUS Zenbook Flip S 13" 4K 100% DCI-P3. This should let me be portable enough to easily travel with while having my minimum specs for photography and code.

It's a shame I can't get 32GB RAM (it's soldered) or Thunderbolt on AMD.

It's time to retire my Razer Blade.

BTW, thank you fish shell for allowing `&&` in the last big update

So long Kasikorn.

I switched to Bangkok Bank which isn't a saint, but people say their app sucks, which sounds like a good thing to me.

Aaaand I closed my Kasikorn account because their app was sniffing my OS and was saying a Lineage-derivative was not allowed. When I buy a device it's mine; don't you dare tell me what I can do with it. I installed a privacy-oriented system and apps precisely because I'm worried about my security. Business don't do this with your laptops telling you you can't run Firefox on Linux or have an Administrator account on Windows so why do you think you can do this on phones? Because they're walled gardens for Apple and Google? F*ck that. Then they have the nerves to bundles Facebook and Google tracking in the app. And Kasikorn specifically uses (and mostly REQUIRES) more permissions than any other bank. Why do you need access to my phone and contacts, my location, my storage? Sure some of it is to help users, but given a lot of banks are subsidiaries of other countries, it's to sell that user data. I have every right to deny these permissions if I don't need 'help' finding an ATM, etc.

No one asked for it, but I kinda feel like making a Thai-encoding alternative. Think along the lines of braille-encode

Translation 1: broken banana water
Translation 2: cum of the penis

Needless to say, toasted coconut-filled bananas are pretty good

I had my eyes set on the HP Spectre x360 14" 3:2 OLED. I talked with sales and it seem that Thailand won't be getting this device. The 40% import tax means I likely won't get it either. If it wasn't for COVID-19, I would fly to country that 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 have it and put it in my backpack. I don't need a Kedmanee keyboard; what else is different? It's all made in China. Why do different markets really need different devices?

Despite the proximity, it’s a real shame it’s almost almost impossible to find a proper, cheap bánh mì in Thailand.

Looks like I could get 3 recent merge requests in on the `purescript-halogen-realworld` project. I think contributing to this project is important since many people will use it as an example. For a PureScript project, the code is thoroughly documented with approachable language.

I’ve been playing a lot of Genshin Impact. I’m on the Asian server @ ไข่ตุ้น UID 809416146.

The best part the priceless look of the incoming customers from นราธิวาส after greeting them in جاوي on my way out the restaurant with my carryout in tow

What is this that last one supposed to imply? Because more often than not, it is assuming glibc, GNU core utils, bash, and that you're on a Debian (or Red Hat)-based distro.

Opinions aside. If it's not Mac or Windows, it's not automatically Linux. If it's Linux, it's not automatically Ubuntu (or Fedora). Also if it's Linux, it doesn't presuppose glibc, GNU core utils, or bash.

So many installers, detections, & binaries don't work due to assumptions.
