i love having a huge stack of journals documenting my life

it's one of those things that really is a long-term commitment but pays off super well after a few years

especially since my memory is so bad

@tindall Mood. Xi really wish xi'd started much, much sooner.

@jaycie I started in 2013, ish, but only got really serious about it halfway through college. I regret having so little documentation of my pre-transition life, but oh well.

@tindall i have started scrapbooking this week in an attempt to start something more permanent than hundreds of photos on instagram that i can’t remember anything about. my sister is getting me some stationery for my birthday next month and i’m v excited to get some nice journals!

@tindall
I need to actually write things down in mine. They usually turn into Todo lists and sketch books and problem notes

@tindall Do you go back through them every now and then, or just when you want to remind yourself of something?

@tindall I’m in my second year of solid journaling and I’m ready looking forward to the stack. It’s really changed my life for the better, esp as my memory has declined sharply in the past couple of years

Same! I wish I kinda marked entries that were happy days - that serotonion boost would be great (jacky.wtf/2022/5/2rAW)
