the book in question, by the way, is "Gideon the Ninth" by Tamsyn Muir
@tindall Muir had this to say to someone that was worried the lesbian part would detract from the story:

@mariusor ah, too bad. Oh well, the blurb is nearly as good without that bit, and I'm sure the book is great :)
@tindall Oh, I remember those covers! It was put on my list because I'm a shallow person and never actually read the title.
@tindall fair warning: the second book is *really different* from the first. You will WTF a lot, albeit for reasons explained later in the book.
