Lookie at what came in the mail for me today! π https://cybre.space/media/xbqpi7S5z9zEnLRs2GM
@Dianora my girlfriend got one of these from an antique store recently and she let me use it because she has a fancy-pants DSLR one. I fell in love with it and the pictures it takes so I got one of my own! plus I have that zoom lensπ
@theZacAttacks I learned on film cameras. There is something to be said for that. It forces you to take much more care with composition, lighting etc. ;)
@Dianora yeah! that AT-1 is my first camera! we went taking pictures of some flowers and I was using her camera. while we were reviewing the shots I got she said "you're so careful with your shots, like making sure everything is just perfect." glad to hear it's a natural thing then :P
@theZacAttacks The important part is to look at the photos afterwards and figure out exactly what you did right and what you did wrong.
@theZacAttacks Nice camera! I have an AE-1 Program and I love it. I know it might be heresy to say on cybre.space, but film >>>digital
@witchfynder_finder I agree, I really love the deep darks and slight imperfections that film imparts onto the images.
@theZacAttacks It's just more honest overall. Plus, I don't care how many megapixels you have, film will still get a sharper image and survive enlarging better than digital ever will.
@theZacAttacks match needle camera! I used to use one of these 30 years ago ? :) something like that.
