I'm feeling it again, so I'm going to be posting from @swordjaw as my main for a while and see if one consolidated account, personal and art together, works out better for me. 🌱
I can't wait until #Hadestown is the musical everybody is talking about when it hits Broadway in 2019 or 2020. I'm already such a fan, xhxhxbxn
Please add descriptions to your images.
There are visually impaired users floating about the federverse and they deserve descriptions.
A simple description of "airplane" or "cute Kitty" is sufficient. You can do more if you like, but at least add a succinct, basic description if possible.

btw, for people new to Mastodon, because it bears repeating - CW = content warning. To use it, click "CW" under a post you're making, and enter a label for the post.
common CWs/content warnings are for things like US politics, death, mental health (or mh), which is noted by positive (+) or negative (-), anything that people may not want to necessarily see as they're scrolling by. let people choose what to interact with, because you don't want certain content either.

My dewicate widdle respiratory tissues are puffing up a storm because of the on-going fire debris, so I'm going to, just... Take it easy tonight......
Hey, I'm Shannon! 🇹🇼🇺🇸👭
I'm an analog and digital illustration/comics artist who's really thinking about the ideas of finding homes, building your own identities, and quietly accepting yourself.
This personal account is still a silly space, though, lmao. I'd love to talk to you! Art-only's at @swordjaw.
I wanted to share this link with y'all: https://axesslab.com/accessible-comics/
It's about @LuBellWoo's awesome comic, "100 Demon Dialogues", and how she and her self-publishing team worked to make the e-book version more accessible for people with visual impairments.
They added alt-text to each comic, and show examples of how they look to screen readers; the difference is striking.
Thought I'd share for those who are accessibility minded, and to remind myself to make the effort. It's worth it!
Shannon 🇹🇼🇺🇸 (queer, cis, she/her/hers, 25) A small bear. Good morning!
