the cool thing about having everything be online due to the pandemic is getting to witness how local culture "leaks" into online mediums and how new customs, practices, etc get born.

example: it's now rude (ish) to not turn on your camera as the audience of online conferences (even if it's a seminar and intended to be one-way). two years ago i don't think societal customs like this exist, at least in an Indonesian context. culture!
