Also worth taking into consideration with any sort of weapon control is a quite frankly huge number of guns outside of any gun registration system by people who are paranoid that Obama or the next Democratic president will take them all away with force.

The only system that will remove these guns are no questions asked buybacks with high prices for guns, and without this these weapons will around in mass numbers by those who just don't care about any rules for selling said guns

just banning the AR-15 and such guns won't prevent another mass shooting, it needs to ban all non-long semi-auto guns and limit caliper to .22, and for long arms a similar caliper limit, bolt action only, excluding shotguns. In addition, shorting the barrel is 100% extra illegal
