Is there actually a future where the IPv6 dream of "every object on the internet can be connected to directly" and NAT can die actually real?

Then again, IPv6 for every corn flake in the box would be fun

@rrix I just de-NAT-ified my home network last week. All IPV6 for accessible services. PITA though because there are plenty of networks behind NATs from which I can't access IPV6 without a VPN tunnel.
