@atomjack What creature is this? At this point I'm actually wondering if this is CGI...

Wondering if a trans person, instead of becoming a green-faced buffoon when putting on THE MASK, will simply switch genders because Loki used to do that and would probably favor trans folks with his magic. ๐Ÿค”

"These aren't accidents, these are results." -- Tom Flood

Or as Jessie Singer points out, "accidents" seem random only because we solely look at the last person to make a mistake, not the design that made it easy for that mistake to become a fatality.

@ticky It's just legalese, i.e. due diligence to avoid getting responsible for piracy and stuff. I'd do the same.

@vantablack Once, when I was a kid, I was having a nightmare so I shut my eyes tight ends the nightmare thing was there, and I was wondering why could I still see with my eyes closed, then I opened my eyes and suddenly woke up. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

@stux Maybe it's for accountability? Like, a user creates an account, harasses someone, and deletes the account to wipe his tracks.

Boss: your leave request broke the system
Me: uh sigh
Boss: why do you want to take the specific week off in 2038
Me: for this exact reason

Crowdfunding, hospitalization, unemployment rejection

So I talked before about how I was hospitalized on Sunday due to chest pain. While I don't have heart disease and have been given a prescription, I need to try to take it easy for this week and beyond. Also I have received news that I have been rejected from unemployment and am trying to appeal it. So I could use some help.

@ljwrites I'm trans, so I'm often involved in (er... dragged into) online discussions with my country's transphobes. ๐Ÿ˜…

@mike @Ricardus also known as QEdit? I remember that one! :D it had a nifty box-drawing feature. I often used it with a virus simulator to trap the bouncing smiley faces on the screen, lol

@tek Somewhat off-topic:

You just reminded me of an old text file that circulated on BBSs with a DIY noice reducer gadget for your phone line. (I remember because it kept complaining about Ma' Bell services, lol)

It had a potentiometer for callibration. I never managed to make it work, but whenever I cranked the dial too much on one direction, weird characters began to appear on the screen until the connection dropped ๐Ÿ˜…

I always thought it was a really cool thing for plausible deniability on my end. "Sorry, I'm getting a lot of static here, looks like it's raining." Click.

Considering switching from Firefox to . Can anyone share their experiences?
