I think the news broke.

Last week I read about a variant of the virus with multiple mutations in the region coding the spike protein our vaccines target, indicating they may not be as effective.

Now I find no trace of this.

Hours ago I read in WaPo that a Senate impeachment conviction is a ridiculous fantasy, and now I read on CNN that it's basically a foregone conclusion.

I'm extremely tired of all of this and I would like to trust better-informed people to drive and just write my letters about causes I care about.

But I also kinda feel like I'll never take anyone at their word ever again.

What a ridiculous, exhausting five years.
