Do you ever have a song that just reminds you of such memories that it brings you to tears? It’s not even a good song, but you feel like you did at some pivotal moment from your own history.

Mine is ”I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain.

What’s yours?

Ok important question - what are employers actually VISUALLY looking for in a resume. There's so much varied advice but I don't feel like I'm ever getting real answers. #jobhunting #jobs #resume #work

Y'all can we talk about Ethical.Net and its list of web alternatives. I found this really interesting.

ethical.net/resources/

This new Mountain Goats is quite lovely. I particularly like the@song that’s an ode to a long-lived possum.

Anyone awake want to tell me a story or recommend something relaxing to watch or listen to?

Steven Universe self-care posters from someone's school. These are perfect. They actually read like they were written by people who watch the damn show.

@compostablespork inadvertently has me thinking about the phrase "canary in the coal mine" which she couldn't have known I'm a little bit obsessed with.

Also now listening to The Mountain Goats: youtu.be/CX9ZCPLrUzM

I just watched/listened to a compilation of Miriam Margolyes on Graham Norton, and I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time.

I'm pretty sure I've found type of old lady I want to be.

Domestic abuse, IoT, smart homes

"Internet-connected locks, speakers, thermostats, lights and cameras that have been marketed as the newest conveniences are now also being used as a means for harassment, monitoring, revenge and control."

"One of the women, a doctor in Silicon Valley, said her husband, an engineer, 'controls the thermostat. He controls the lights. He controls the music. Abusive relationships are about power and control, and he uses technology.'"

While I'm going about saying things. I feel pretty certain that I want to use this space to talk about my robot feels, and ethics, and stuff like that.

My cybre.space aspect might just end up being me talking about robots ad nauseam.

Genius: lifefaker.com

Lifefaker is the world’s first online life faking service. Instead of going through the hassle of living a perfect life, now you can just get the photos to post on #socialmedia.

I'm trying to see how many mastodon accounts I can acquire so that the composite me created by the artificial intelligence running the internet can be multifaceted when they download me into my robot body in the future.

LastPass wanted to auto-fill my new account with the password for my old a.w.e account and I almost let it.

PSA: Don't re-use passwords from a site that got hacked. If you used the same email/pwd combo on a.w.e & other sites, now is a good time to change the passwords for those other sites.

Oh man. If you haven't watched Janelle Monáe's Dirty Computer emotion picture, what are you waiting for?

Your Belgian Things shuffled on while I was working on boxing my things for donation. It felt incredibly surreal.

is there a thing that just grabs everything off of and that I can just listen to?

Also... it feels really awful to have security system ads served up to you right after being burglarized.
