How annoying is (manual, selective) cross-posting from birdsite? I presume a lot of you are over there, and a lot of you are not...
@xor manual crossposting is not annoying at all.
@xor automated crossposting runs into two main failure modes:
- author set up cross posting and left, meaning that replying or boosting those posts is pointless, even if they're ostensibly asking for advice or stuff like that
- automated crossposting reposts tons of irrelevant / extremely twitterlocal stuff that doesn't make sense in a different social context
