In Ghost in the Shell, connecting to an unknown cyberbrain is considered extremely dangerous. It may fry your brain or rewrite your mind. Even when the target is not actively malicious, sometimes merely exposing to intense ideas in that brain can be harmful. Nevertheless, if one wants to learn something, one often has to accept the risks.

Today I'm convinced it's not entirely fictional... Good blog posts are effectively braindumps. Just found a blog full of infohazards, but can't stop reading it...
