Ok, I'm going through my github and cleaning it up so that only the good stuff that colleges will (hopefully) like is left. And what do I find. But the greatest thing ever made on this planet. An HTML5 game I made when I was ~12 featuring some of the best design decisions anyone has ever made. Explosion audio that's just me saying pchoow. A screen that just says `you dead`. Online leaderboards. Comments that are literally 20 characters of acronyms. I'm not so sure my more recent stuff is better.
Ok, I'm going to finally bite the bullet and make a half-decent personal website/blog to show off my stuff and write a few guides on some of the more esoteric technical problems I've solved. But that's not important. What is important is that I've found a jekyll windows 95 theme, and that it is the best thing since flat, rectangular slabs of baked wheat. It will be the canvas upon which I paint my masterpiece. https://github.com/h01000110/windows-95

So, I just read a review on steam for a $10 game(that I quite enjoyed), and here it is in its entirety: "Fun for about five hours, but gets boring after that." The newest Avengers film costs $20 on itunes, and is exactly 2.5 hours long. Why is it that with video games, the societal notion of acceptable price per hour of entertainment is so totally out of whack with the rest of literally everything? I love shorter games with better stories, and don't get why everything has to be an 80-hour epic.

I've been on mastodon for about a day now, and while it sounds sort of silly, I love it so far because it all feels much more positive than other social networks. On other social networks, there's this constant pressure to exist in a kinda of disaffected, cynical apathy all the time, but I'm not feeling that here. To sum up: everyone's way more genuine, and that's way more great. also good night, i'm sleeping now.
Hey, I made a thing. It's a #unixporn rice manager and theme-manager, letting you create themes with many different moving parts and configs, and share them online to a repository(viewable at https://demenses.net.) The tool & code is available here: https://github.com/raven. It's a bit fiddly, but it's as streamlined as I think it can be. Come and check out my somewhat less-than-optimal code!

I’m going to use my first non-introductory toot to recommend Transmetropolitan. It’s a comic book series about a cyberpunk gonzo journalist fighting corruption and apathy in the Big City. Bizarrely prophetic considering when it was written Plus, by Warren Ellis, who’s fantastic. Great stuff. (also the main character is named spider jerusalem , which is a PRETTY GOOD NAME if you ask me )
