Wow, #xcom is a mess of weird design decisions.
For example: Save games are language locked. Switch the games language? Whoops, sorry, can't use those saves anymore.

What about greedy reasons like DRM?

@tohuvabohu But this is a STEAM game! It ALREADY comes with your average Steam DRM and you switch languages by switching them using Steams language tab!
I mean, it would make sense if you COULDN'T change the language and have THAT locked to your region or whatever (Still absurdly evil, but at least internally consistent.) but giving people the option to choose/change their language and then lock the saves...

Oh, btw: This language locking for save files? It's just a pointless flag in the save file.
If I edit that file with an external tool and change an "INT" to a "DEU". for example, that "english language" save works perfectly file in the german version, is translated etc.
THERE IS LITERALLY NO REASON TO DO THIS!!!
