@LogicalDash when i run into some feature of my embark site that's inconvenient from a gameplay perspective---e.g. no potable water, weird resource distribution, unfriendly neighbors---i like to try to make dealing with it into one of the central plot points for my fort! it has the bonus of keeping me from getting too frustrated
