so i've tried to run shadowrun a few times now and asside from getting bogged down in the rules (an annoying yet solvable problem) i've had a lot of trouble keeping the group interested during the setup stages of a run
i really enjoy the process of planning out a run and get a great sense of satisfaction for a well executed plan ("i love it when a plan comes together") but i don't think that's true for most of the rest of my players
so
the question becomes
how do i setup runs they'll enjoy

@mdhughes @catoutofbed I agree. If they don’t like planning, then plans must be short. You could hand them a plan. Or you could have more situations were planning doesn’t help: less immediately fatal risk, more random developments, more advance notices of developing situations which allow reacting on the spot a good strategy. Also, be open about the boredom of planning. Time box planning. That kind of thing.
