A donkey is a horse with the brains of a rabbit, the speed of an ox and the strength of a tortoise. The word donkey comes from the fake Sumerian word "dΓ΅n.qui" which means "disaster animal"

Yes, of course I want a rotary cell phone.

The power switch is an actual slide switch. No holding down a stupid button to make it turn off and not being sure it really is turning off or what. justine-haupt.com/rotarycellph

My local theater is having showings of Parasite all this week (I guess cause it won a Posture Boi) and the stars lined up so that I could swing by and catch it and still be on time for work. I knew absolutely nothing about it except that it's Korean and that it seemed to be good in spite of its popularity

Which was true! It is very good. I'm glad I and others are getting another chance to see it. The turnout was high and the reaction was positive. If you get a chance to see it, I recommend it.

I feel like I'm subconsciously stealing this joke from something but I don't remember what. Probably The Simpsons. They must've had like 4 or 5 wax museum gags over the years

Owner of the wax museum: Friends, if we don't get this climate change situation under control, we're gonna have Meltin' John and C. Everett Goop

It must suck to run a big-budget persistent online game. Not only do you need five nines of uptime, you also gotta make sure you stay at three "A"s. That's 15 A9s. A9 in hex is 169 so that equals 2,535. That's a lot of uptime/quality units

I like the theory that the game "Linkle Liver Story" is called that because it's about a person from a town called Linkle. A person who lives in Linkle. A Linkle liver

It's wrong, but I still like it

I bet I wouldn't have turned my back on The Lord if I had a minidisc player in 1998

I bet VR headsets can't be used for proper at-home eye exams, but I bet in the next 5 years some startup is going to try to trick us into thinking they can be

You know, for what it is, some of the music in the early Mario Party games was extremely pleasant. It's not super memorable but it's ideal for just chilling. youtube.com/watch?v=5m0I_AGIdG

Ironically the N64, a system not well-known for outstanding sound hardware, had much better music than the CD-based audio that came after in the series. The music situation in the gamecube games was pretty dire

Blue's Clues tried to encourage child participation, but hell, you think my family could afford a thinking chair? Oh sure, I'd try to use my imagination and play pretend with a regular chair, but I knew the score. Thinking wasn't for us common folk

It's so weird that Elton John won an award for a song that he contributed to a biopic about himself. It feels like a conflict of interest somehow
