shadowrun
It's funny how black ice is essentially no threat at all in bluesky's version of shadowrun if you actually have party members. I always solo'd it, and getting killed by black ice was just like any other death, you fail the run, get medivac'd to the hospital, pay 10% of your money. Potentially really bad stuff
If you have a party member with medkits or a heal spell, you can just effortlessly heal the decker and be fine. Way better than the potential thousands of nuyen it'd cost to fix a fried MPCP
shadowrun
Of course either way, tarpits are still the real threat
I like how the game handles failure, it's always just a minor setback, but it kind of takes some of the teeth away from black ice. This supposedly terrifying entity that actually attacks your physical human form rather than your virtual persona... is nothing compared to the one that can eat your level 6 attack program you paid 100k to upgrade. Kind of meta cyberpunk in a way. The meat does not concern me, but don't fuck with my programs
