my goal of this thread is not "Frasier Crane is Canceled" it's "was the comedy the same in the 90s but those undertones were more humourous? i don't follow"

@matilde i think major comedies went pretty much unquestioned until like 2015

@matilde yeah, absolutely. I hear the same thing about friends. I remember one of my favorite shows was 3rd rock from the sun and then remember one of the characters was kind of a transphobic joke. It's how it was and thank god we're getting better.

@matilde pretty much all the stuff was up-front rapey and gross and everyone knew it, but the people in charge of programming *wanted* it that way, forced the complaints to not get any air, and are the very same people who today keep doing the "in the good old days before political correctness!!!!" shit.
