@iliana it might be because sticker printing websites tend to accept RGB colourspace images, so maybe there's a screwup between the CMYK in your Ai file and the output that website is interpreting

iliana :trans_heart: @iliana

@dzuk yeah I assume it’s the CMYK to RGB conversion the website is doing

@iliana IDK how you're doing it exactly, but what I do for my stickers is use CMYK colourspace in the vector file, but then output to an RGB image so the vector app is the one doing the conversion

@dzuk but it’s going to CMYK for print, isn’t it?

(at least in my case it definitely is)

@iliana Yeah, but they only normally take PNGs, which only do RGB colour space.

Here's how it works on their end (at least this is what happens with Redbubble and Society6):

- RGB image goes in
- The printing service converts it to CMYK
- The printing service prints it as CMYK

So imagine using CMYK in the vector app just as a way of making sure you don't go into colours that CMYK doesn't have (because RGB has a wider colour gamut than CMYK)

@dzuk ah okay that makes sense ^_^

super weird that they only take PNG as a printing service but hey it seems to work

@iliana IKR, and when I started out I asked Redbubble if they did any colour profiles and they were like 'nope!' and I was like 'uhhh, okay then'

@dzuk “you do you, print shop”
