#qutebrowser seems intersting but I hate shortcuts (I only take an exception to this for Blender) so here is an idea:
someone should take the #servo #browser engine (ik it's not ready) and throw #9P onto it and make it work like #Acme
@grainloom hm; the version of servo in firefox 59 works on my opengl 2.2 machine. is there an upcoming change that will break it?
@technomancy idk, last time I tried to use it on my also 2.2 machine, it gave a context creation error
@technomancy or at least I think that's what it was? it's been a few months, I should see if it runs now.
@technomancy mmmmnope, at least not with the servo-later package from the AUR
gonna try servo-git
@grainloom crossing my fingers that this is just some stupid arch-specific thing and not a harbringer of "you have to throw your laptop away now, k?" doom
except #servo doesn't seem to work with older hardware, so... that's sad
I'm sure #opengl 3 is nice and all, but I don't want to buy a new computer just to run my browser faster when it is already fast enough
I hope it also supports or will support older OpenGL and/or pure software rendering
