So, I tried #Crunchyroll after watching this:
https://youtu.be/4TAg4gIhdfg
Turns out Crunchy still doesn't work after I turn #UBlockOrigin off, it doesn't even display the anti-adblock video. I only know there is such a thing because I downloaded the only thing Video Download Helper found, to see if it was the episode.
Then I tried it in Chromium. Doesn't work. I have 1 addon on Chromium, the Google Analytics opt-out. I removed it. Reloaded. Restarted Chromium. No dice.
At least tell me if I'm region blocked.
@elomatreb I have not! And it's in Arch's community repo! Sweet!
Annnnd it doesn't let me seek in VLC.
But youtube-dl seems to work witch Crunchy???
@grainloom I don't use Crunchyroll, but it usually supports seeking (at least on Twitch VODs and with mpv)
@elomatreb It's probably a VLC thing. I could research it.... later.
@grainloom Additional thought: If it doesn't work in Chromium, check if you have that Widewine DRM module enabled
@elomatreb I shall not be DRM-ed any more than I already am and shall check no such thing >:|
@grainloom You'll need it probably if you want to use it in the browser, but I agree it sucks
@elomatreb Well, as I said, pirate-y ways :P
@grainloom In Germany the choice is easy anyway because even if you enable DRM you only get German-dubbed content on e.g. Netflix, which is a pain (Because either the dub is terrible, or it is months to years late, or both).
So torrents it is
@grainloom Tried https://github.com/streamlink/streamlink ?
