so, I have an idea for my #postmarketos project and #plan9
the #touchscreen can only do single clicks and swipes, right??
well.... there is a power button and two volume buttons....
you see where I'm going with this?
@grainloom there's also hold.
Depending on hardware there's also pinch to zoom/unzoom.
Other gestures are more uncommon and less used.
with a button to modify the input you could probably come up with all sorts of stuff
@grainloom also I wish most touchscreens had a mode wherein it became more like a touchpad and had a cursor on the screen. So if I pushed upwards on the screen I'd move the cursor upwards. This is good when you need a little more accuracy.
Newer androids actually do show a mouse cursor when a mouse is attached to the device so maybe one day we'll see that happen.

Please, don't.
If you want to do a right-click, do hold. If you want to do right-drag or something, do double-finger drag or something.
@drequivalent but... but, mouse chording
@drequivalent you can't chord with multi-touch
i will fight god and use Acme on my phone
@grainloom Most touchscreens in phones will be able to detect 2-3 fingers or more...
