the death of native applications is the death of secure computer imo
I've said for ages that webapps will be the death of us all. The web should be for content and if you need a "web app" users should have to download something because that gets through their thick skulls that they're running foreign code on their machine. Sure, something like electron is good for the computer ecosystem in that it allows writing code once and having an application that runs anywhere, but it never should've been based around the web stack
