sidenote: not a fan of people translating "north" and "south" as "lete" and "seli". not only is it north-hemisphere-centric, it also seems kinda weird. if toki pona is supposed to adopt endonyms for country/place names, then these names having "south" or "north" in them should also be transcribed.

if New York is "ma tomo Nujoka" instead of "ma tomo Joka sin" and the United Kingdom is "ma Juke" instead of "ma wan pi nasin lawa tan kulupu mama", i believe that same should apply to "north" and "south". North Macedonia should be "ma Sewena Maketonija" (from "Северна Македонија"). South Sudan should be "ma Sa Sutan" (their official language is english anyway), etc.
