the one thing i don't understand: how did economy still run in places like weimar germany during hyperinflation? whenever i think about things like that, i imagine that if i were a farmer or whatever, i'd simply stop making more than needed for personal survival →
← until i'd be certain that i'd be fairly compensated for my work and that this compensation won't become worthless in a week. but clearly, that's not what happened. even the worst economical crises didn't lead to production just stopping completely or mostly.
