← this is not to say that these people don't exist -- anti-fascists exist, after all -- it's just that their number (as well as their ability to participate) is far weaker than those of bigots.

@devurandom And also because, as a general principle, it’s much easier to spew bigoted bullshit than to refute it, and even successfully refuting it just makes it look like there’s an argument with two sides.

@devurandom To take a wider view, bigotry is aggression and countering it head-on creates a battlefield in which it’s impossible for the targets of bigotry to simply exist and get on with their lives. Which is, of course, the result the bigots want.
