Я зараз дуже повільно #читаю #Neuromancer і буду складати сюди нотатки про ходу. З попереднього читання в російському перекладі вивітрилося багато деталей. Хочеться прочитати не чимшвидше, тому зі словником, гуглом слів і часом зображень.

@chr @theresatagonmyshirt yes, I've read Neuromancer in Russian translation ages ago. I know there will be Ukrainian translation too, so decided read in English. I can easily read pulp fiction, but science fiction is harder because of many unusual and new words. It is also way more interesting.
@cyberpunk you write beautifully in english, it doesn't seem that you are using a translation bot . is there a specific unusual word in necromancer that you don't understand?
@theresatagonmyshirt oh there are plenty of them. the most funny word for now i've met when Case seeks for the weapon (i am still on the first part of the book). the waiter Shin stands near cans with horseradish. in Ukraine we used to color it with beet. it is quite common seasoning and little jars with it stand nearly in every fridge. but i never had a need to name “хрін” in english. next time i wondered what “cobra” looks like, and found the same question on reddit https://goo.gl/X5jhTz
@cyberpunk I forget, is cobra something specific in necromancer, or does it just have the ordinary meaning-- snake ?
