website tech/feature question, boosts appreciated!

I am looking for a safe but dead simple way to just have a text box where plain text entered by visitors can be saved and looked at by me (functionally, like a private suggestion box, not comments or a guestbook). I'm using Neocities, though. Is there a good 3rd party service that does this?

@pixouls @coleoptera @jesse html form with a textarea and a button. For the backend side of things that depends but the best would be to send you a mail.

@coleoptera Really the easiest thing is an email address; use a disposable one and forward it to your real address so you can change it when spammers find it.

@coleoptera also found this formsubmit.co but you have to put your email address in your html.
I haven't used either.

@coleoptera you can configure an email address to receive the form data without third party code

@coleoptera formspree.io
It's a simple form you embed in your html and when people leave a note it gets sent as an email.
I use it at the bottom of the front page of my website: leetusman.com

@coleoptera if you do view source on my page you can see it's just a few lines of code

@exquisitecorp oooh I may try fiddling around with that! I did end up doing an embedded google form but it doesn't look great and I'd also prefer to not have to use drive to store the answers either

@coleoptera maybe not the most elegant way but my solution is to have the textbox be part of a form which then posts to an AWS lambda API which then sends me an email after a bit of sanitisation, can share code if that helps
