Lard Biscuits (AKA Best Biscuits Ever)
Sift 2 cups AP flour with 1/2 TSP salt and 4 TSP baking powder. Add 3 TBSP lard. Using your fingers, work lard and flour together until mixture is fairly uniform (small clumps are okay). Add in 3/4 cup buttermilk and work through until all flour is incorporated and you form a dough ball. Fold and knead 15 times. Roll dough out to 1/2 inch thickness and cut into 6 biscuits. Bake at 400 F for 12 minutes, and enjoy warm from oven!
