Most of these were likely scrapped in the course of the GM "streetcar conspiracy" in the 1960s. Imagine if they had not!

You’re sequestering all the CO2 emitted by the planes to make more fuel, so its a closed system. Just need to prevent methane leaks wherever possible, since methane is a much stronger greenhouse gas than CO2, probably need flares on fuel dump valves and such. Surplus methane from the sabatier could be stored long term, and excess oxygen from the water splitting could be used onboard the planes instead of the engine bleed they use now

plonk a big nuclear reactor next to the airport and have it do 24/7 water splitting and methane production, fuel the planes with that (obviously would need new planes)

Would methane produced via sabatier be a good fuel for carbon-neutral air travel?

I got bored and am looking at enterprise wifi networking gear again

ah, Ubiquiti uses it for their inter-building wifi backhaul thing

Show thread

Looks like its supported by a single model of Dell laptop and nothing else

Look I just want to know if I can improve my wifi signal strength by building a house out of diamonds, why is this such a difficult question to answer

[12:54 AM] CineboxAndrew: The bad news is it’s diamonds
