:dragnpats: kɜ:ʳ :cydr_a: @chr

like i dont personally have any beef with us bank its just... why do they feel the need to claim this so prominently

@chr misdirection from the sketchy stuff banks do?

@chr the perceived ethics of banks are one of the main reasons that people switch banks/credit unions these days, especially among millennials. On its own it's a weird thing to spotlight, but in the grander context, it does make them stand out while competitors are getting into headlines for scandals.

@chr (this is still 100% a marketing stunt tho lol)

@Aros @chr all banks are bad. Join a credit Union.

@chr *looks at the fine print*
so US Bank was proclaimed the mostest ethical by a company owned by
...US Bank?

seems legit

@Sargoth @chr No, the footnotes just sort of run together; after "LLC" it's a bunch of unrelated stuff.

I like the sly use of "a" rather than "the" in the main claim, though.

@chr @Sargoth varx has been voted a World's Most Ethical Human, along with 3.7 billion other recipients.

@varx @chr @Sargoth you're not far off, the field of "World's most Ethical Companies" is 135 this year

@chr Because a lot of banks do a bunch of Sketchy Shit™ such as Wells Fargo employees making fake accounts to hit impossible sales goals, Bank of America almost foreclosing on a guy over less than $5, etc.
