@chr
wow, what a coincidence, cybrespace is proud to be named a "worlds most skeptical of this claim social media platform" for the third year in a row too! https://cybre.space/media/Hn-SZXqmUWB5XiEcvlA
@squirrel @chr to be fair the maplebots make it very hard to put any challenge up against computer faires. I mean even if you can get past their implacable cuteness and adorableness, they can just like, rush you en masse and welp. Can't be in the runnings if you're buried under a swarm of maplebots....
...not that this is a bad thing. they're /so cute/.
@chr wtf kinda name is "ethisphere institute"
like i dont personally have any beef with us bank its just... why do they feel the need to claim this so prominently
@chr misdirection from the sketchy stuff banks do?
@chr the perceived ethics of banks are one of the main reasons that people switch banks/credit unions these days, especially among millennials. On its own it's a weird thing to spotlight, but in the grander context, it does make them stand out while competitors are getting into headlines for scandals.
@chr (this is still 100% a marketing stunt tho lol)
@chr *looks at the fine print*
so US Bank was proclaimed the mostest ethical by a company owned by
...US Bank?
seems legit
@chr Because a lot of banks do a bunch of Sketchy Shit™ such as Wells Fargo employees making fake accounts to hit impossible sales goals, Bank of America almost foreclosing on a guy over less than $5, etc.
@chr Ethisphere™ the Ethics Sphere, an Orb of Morals, declared them the World's Most Ethical™ Companies™ which is literally a registered trademark
Ethisphere by the way is a FOR-PROFIT COMPANY http://www.slate.com/articles/business/moneybox/2010/03/its_all_good.html
@chr really speaks to how unethical all the other banks must be
@chr computer fairies nominated mastodon of the year undefeated since 1963
