@cassolotl Thanks a lot for the work that you did. It's very interesting, although like you said it's probably biased by who you are and managed to reach on Mastodon. I'd love to see an initiative such as yours on a larger scale (can I dream 6000 ? 1% of our population !).

I didn't get the part about ethnicity though, what you meant about Mastodon being whiter than Twitter. Why is that very useful information ?

It'll be crucial to keep in mind the demographics and be cognizant of the echo-chamber.

Since people are joining Mastodon often through their own social networks, think of how many of us are likely speaking through intersecting layers of privilege. "Like recruits like": Supermajority male, and super SUPER majority white.
And interestingly, on the other end, certain minority communities: many queer folk involved (nearly 10% ace!).
