humans use a lot of different kinds of rocks that we like to pretend aren't rocks. glass? amorphous silica, an igneous rock. mud brick? sedimentary rock. cement? concrete? aggregates. terracotta, porcelain, fired brick? fucking metamorphic rocks.

you ever see an ice hotel? guess what, ice is a mineral. them's rocks.

what about sandcastles. did you know sand is lots of tiny rocks

i forgot the most important one: salt is rocks. table salt is just halite sand
