@b3yond now the issue here is, getting people to do that + having legal safeguards in place which satisfy everyone (I know people who just can't with the way it is or the way it could change back to) + having no bandwidth speed penalties with offering access (been there, done that, don't do that with 1600 ADSL). Reading into this tonight.

@ng0 Well, in germany the legal part is okay now, afaik - as the Störerhaftung is abolished. And the article offers limits for the open wifi as a solution for the bandwidth problem
