@pry yeah for real. despite all the memes and everything, I always have the most fun on my computer when I'm using arch!
I love tsumiki's music so much, and a collaboration with Reol is just... a dream come true, LOL. It's awesome.
I forgot to toot about this. Tsumiki and Reol and Ohissya and Okiku all working together on one team for this song. Yeah, this song is absolutely awesome.
The two characters to come: a Standard robot that survives off of Monster Energy, and a hero robot that without much self confidence tasked with something bigger than themself.
@MystSaphyr This was my #1 issue when I admined a robotics community for a serious handful of years. I could not help the people that were upset because I had no idea what they were upset about. What came off to me as normal, if opinionated discussion was hurtful to them. But I couldn't read their minds!!
And also like, the community on that forum is so obviously heavily comprised of a combination of ESL speakers, some people that are probably a little young relative to the standard in most communities, and a whole lot of people that are not neurotypical. That kind of community demands clear address.
All of this can be done respectfully. When I was a kid on forums I saw this happen time and time again and there were never significant problems after the community had a long-needed discussion. When did the paradigm shift to just... quietly ignoring it or expecting it to change on its own?
Don't just talk about it in private chats with your friends! Post about how you want the community to change! You don't even need to "call out" certain individuals to do this! If there's a problem, it needs to be addressed!
I'm on this forum for vocaloid stuff, and there's posts on there that constantly talk about how much drama there is in the forums and the community. I know things can get uselessly petty on Twitter, but aside from respectful disagreements about the sound of certain voicebanks and the look of new designs, I never see anything worthy of serious scorn happen there.
It makes me seriously wonder if I'm part of the problem, but I keep reading back on mine and others' previous posts and cannot figure out where the perception of toxicity is coming from. I don't mean to say they're lying or something, but I can't figure it out, and the subposting in the status bar I don't think is helping anyone.
There's a line in internet communities between being politely quiet about annoying behaviors that don't actually hurt anyone and being quiet about actually objectionable behaviors that hurt people. If you see a pattern of behavior on a public forum that makes you upset and is affecting the community, SAY SOMETHNG!
