hey wouldn't it be cool if pinterest stopped existing and google image results actually led to the original source

@anders
gemlog 10-1336 sites-available>ping -c1 pinterest.com
PING pinterest.com (151.101.128.84) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 151.101.128.84: icmp_seq=1 ttl=60 time=7.73 ms

Gee. I hope that info doesn't end up in anyone's host file linking to local host/127.0.0.1.

That would be terrible!

Yes, I agree. pinterest links are a waste of time

@anders you can add -pinterest.com to the end of your query to filter out pins!

@Murkrow i later found out that wildcards like -site:pinterest.*, but at the time i was getting just as many results from ….at instead

@anders This can interest you: eldritch.cafe/@melunaka/100182

This does the trick, even though I wish we didn’t have to.

@anders Wouldn't it be cool if Quora stopped existing and I could read the answers to my questions without having to log in to a service I don't want to use?

@waweic @anders
It is a hassle, and I don't understand why they added it.

But at least to read, you can request the same page via its address (just go to the address bar and hit enter) - it won't ask you to login again.

@Pabo Thanks! Haven't noticed that before!

jesus fuck a lot of you hate pinterest too huh

@anders As a budding artist who needs a lot of photorefs I'm solidly convinced that site exists just to make our lives harder. >.=.>
