why is it, that the only cis people i ever see really supporting the trans community are either people who are personally involved with or directly related to a trans person, or they turn out to actually be a trans person who's not out yet

@dragon @FuchsiaShock right? Even queer folks who live outside of certain areas/cities can go decades without knowingly interacting with a trans person.


@AudreyJune @dragon @FuchsiaShock the biggest refrain I hear at work is "wow, you are the *only person I know* who is trans"...

And I am just like, uh...probably you would know more of us if you, like, paid attention and did less performative allyship and more actual allyship.

Probably you *do* know more of us but they have not felt comfortable enough with you to say.
